Advisory Board - Judge "Yard of the Month" and report winner at each meeting for present month.
Awards - Collect pictures, reports, etc. and apply for awards at Council and District levels.
Beautification - Organize litter walks and front entrance planting.
Birds and Butterflies - Present a short report each month about a specific bird or butterfly of their choice. Will also provide a bag of bird seed to the roll call winner.
Historian - Keep a club scrapbook with up to date pictures and news.
Horticulture - Present a short report at each meeting about specific plants and gardening hints. Record plantings on the Horticultural Report and submit to awards chairperson.
Junior Garden Club Advisor - Sponsor the Hoover Jr. Bloomers for the youngsters in Russet Woods. Plan one activity and one meeting per month with the help of all club members.
Membership - Recruit and welcome new members to the club. Offer new recruits transportation to the meeting.
Sunshine - Remember members birthdays. Send a plant or flowers to the members in case of illness or a death.
Telephone - Phone members each month, at least three days prior, to remind them of meetings and for special events.
Ways and Means - Organize pumpkin sale in October and one other small fund-raiser as needed.
Public Relations - Notify local newspaper of monthly club events. Submit articles within one week of garden club meeting with speaker name and photo, program information, yard of the month and other pertinent information.
